Minutes May 14, 2013



ST. ANNE'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Mission Committee Minutes
May 14, 2003

St. Anne's  Episcopal. (SAE) 1st Mission Committee Mtg. was held on May 14, 2013, 503 Lakewood Dr. Conway.  Meeting was called to order by Dan Ennis,  opening with a prayer.

Mbrs. Present:  Julie Hearn, Rebecca Lovelace, Kevin Shea, Dan Ennis.  Treas. Marth Smith,
Recording Sec. Gail Whitehead
Absent:  Mike Battle,  Mike Roberts

   NEW BUSINESS:
1.                  A letter commending George Hearn for his work on the Steering Comm. was read, signed and voted on to be presented in recognition for his service.
2.                  Adoption of By-laws (see attached) Moved to accept R. Lovelace, 2nd Julie Hearn,
Motion approved.
3.                  Motion by Dan Ennis to elect Rebecca Lovelace as Jr. Warden, 2nd Julie Hearn, Motion approved (Duties – see attached)
4.                  Six  Vestry Mbrs. Were elected at the 1st Organizational Parish Mtg. 4/24/2013  One year terms will be served by Rebecca Lovelace, Kevin Shea and Mike Battle .  Two year terms will be served by Mike Roberts, Julie Hearn and Dan Ennis.
5.                  Treasurers report was given by Martha Smith  (see attached).
6.                  Motion made by Rebecca to increase visiting Priest  honorarium to $200. per Sun., 2nd Kevin. Motion approved.  Expenses approved for pianist ie. Special music and a photographer for Pentecost Sun.  Dan informed committee that CCU will begin charging $100. User fee for Lackey Chapel beginning immediately.
7.                  GIFTS:  Proposal made by Rebecca to Tithe  15% of collection to Diocese.  Discussion led by Julie and Shea to sort out what/where our future expenses will be.  Dan recommended that we give 15% now then 10% each week going forward.                                                                             
           15% of Bal. On hand of $28,077.98,  from July 1-Sept 30 ,10% of checks received,
            Oct 1 -Dec. 31  10% of checks received
            Rebecca suggested a gift to Holy Cross for their assistance.  She will speak with Judy       .           Ingle and report at next mtg.
     8.    Committee agreed that VPOD (vestry person of the day)was needed  to open chapel, put          
 out sign, ETC.  Vestry voted that loose offering will continue to go to CAP, except 1st Sunday of month, will go to another charity.  June 2 will go to Coastal Samaritan Counseling. A Vision Statement to be discussed at a later date.
